Certification Costs (Member Rate)
The costs of certification include your agreement fees which are paid annually and cover your entire product line for that program, inspection fees, and travel expenses for the inspector.

Important notes on cost
-Boats and Yachts in a same family more than likely will not require the same amount of inspection time, i.e. if you build and 20, 22, and 24 foot boat in the same family, the first boat inspected will require the most time, each thereafter requiring only minor inspection time.
Example
A manufacturer produces 5 boats between 18 and 25 feet, and 5 yachts between 26 and 33 feet. The costs include $200 for the boat agreement, $200 for the yacht agreement, $200-300 in inspector travel inspections, and estimated 6-8 hours of inspection time at $150.00 per hour. In this example, the annual costs of certification can be estimated between $1500 – 1900.00.
