Conservation and EnvironmentMarine businesses—including dealers, manufacturers and marinas—rely on clean water, healthy ecosystems and abundant fish populations to continue serving communities and allowing for time spent on the water.

Combating the environmental challenges and ensuring our waters are healthy requires action at the state level.

Top Policy Priorities
  • Establish increased funding for recreation access, including climate resilient infrastructure investment, and improvements at lakes, rivers, and reservoirs.
  • Advance conservation goals that recognize and include lands and waters already conserved in public trust by state, federal, local law or regulation, including California’s “30 by 30” conservation framework.
  • Support robust funding programs and policies that stop and reverse the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS), including the Brandon Road Lock and Dam project in the Great Lakes Region.
