CHICAGO—February 11, 2016—The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) today announced 46 recipients of the 2015 Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Awards for excellence in customer satisfaction. Award recipients were acknowledged this morning during the annual Industry Breakfast at the 2016 Progressive® Insurance Miami International Boat Show® in Miami.

The Marine Industry CSI Awards honor manufacturers who actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve the customer. Award recipients achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past program year, based on information provided by customers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between April 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015.  Starting with 2016, the program year will follow the calendar year, with the annual award recipient announcement to be held during the Miami International Boat Show.  The 2015 announcement also introduces Jet Boats as a new category for award recognition.

Participating manufacturers must survey all new boat buyers during this period. For this reporting period, the program surveyed nearly 67,000 customers.
