Wisconsin DNR Annual Spring Hearing Questionnaire for Input from Residents on Recreation Opportunities Closes Tomorrow

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource (DNR) and Wisconsin Conservation Congress (WCC) launched Monday their annual opportunity for the public to provide input on a variety of natural resource and outdoor recreation related questions and proposed rule changes. The survey closes tomorrow, Thursday, April 13, at noon CT.

All Wisconsin residents and outdoor recreationalists are encouraged to carefully consider each of the questions posed by DNR and WCC and submit response to the survey. Results will then be used to inform DNR leadership and statewide elected officials on what constituents believe state agencies and policymakers should do to protect state waterways, access, and outdoor recreation opportunities.

The questionnaire may be accessed here: https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/about/wcc/springhearing

This year’s questionnaire includes questions related to boating access and towed watersports, key policy priority areas for the recreational boating and fishing industry. As more Americans look to the great outdoors and our shared waterways for an escape, outdoor recreationists and recreational boaters alike are key voices in driving future policies and regulations at the local and state levels.
