Jean-Jacques “J.J.” Marie

J.J. has been a vital part of establishing the inflatable boat industry in the U.S. as a valuable part of the recreational industry. He has made great strides over the years in gaining recognition and respectability for inflatables as fun, affordable, safe recreational boats.

His extensive involvement in NMMA and other organizations, and his ongoing effort to educate the media and the boating public have changed perceptions and expanded awareness of the sector of the boating industry. By emphasizing the unique, user-friendly benefits of inflatables, he has been a champion of the industry’s efforts to expand its customer base.

He has also had a continued involvement in standards development for the industry that has been reflected in numerous awards from the NMMA, U.S. Coast Guard, and others. Areas of focus have included vessel hull design, manufacturing quality standards, boat occupant protection and navigation light issues.

His participation in strong industry support for our armed forces, law enforcement, and rescue organizations has gained the respect of many influential national leaders as well.
