Minnesota DNR Seeking Applications for Aquatic Invasive Species Advisory Committee
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking applications from Minnesota residents to serve on the statewide Aquatic Invasive Species Advisory Committee. There are currently three appointments available for new members to serve a three-year term. Applications must be submitted online by Wednesday December 15, 2021.
The Aquatic Invasive Species Advisory Committee is a 15 member committee established in 2013 by the DNR to help guide the agency’s AIS prevention and management activities. The committee focuses on program direction, emerging research needs, communications, and a shared understanding among committee members of AIS issues and their impacts. The DNR desires for a diverse and well-rounded committee, reflecting a wide variety of stakeholders.
The committee holds eight meetings throughout the year via WebEx. When in-person meetings resume, meetings will be held in central Minnesota with an online or phone option. Additional information about committee and application can be found here.
