Pass the Handle Day Events Set for this Week, July 16
The annual #PassTheHandle event kicks off today, July 10 and runs through July 16. The official #PassTheHandle event day, which encourages people of all skill levels to get out on the water and experience the thrill of watersports, will take place on Sunday, July 16.
#PassTheHandle Day is backed by the WSIA and the entire water sports industry aiming to grow participation by training people the right way to be safe and have fun while on the water.
How can you get involved?
- Teach a first-timer how to ride, ski, tube or surf on July 16 and share your photos and videos on social media with the hashtag #PassTheHandle.
- Visit DiscoverBoating.com to learn more about watersports tips.
- Create your own #PassTheHandle event.
- Donate to WSIA to help them grant seed money to wake parks and schools to help fuel #PassTheHandle events where first-timers can learn to ride for free.
