Stronger YOY Boat Sales Reported at New York, Louisville & Minneapolis Shows
The Discover Boating New York Boat Show, Discover Boating Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow and the Discover Boating Minneapolis Boat Show, in partnership with Progressive Insurance®, wrapped on Sunday, drawing more than 75,000 attendees, steady crowds and buyers. While attendance in New York dipped and the Louisville and Minneapolis shows remained on par with 2024, many exhibitors reported quality traffic, energized customers, and an increase in new boat sales compared to last year’s shows.
Tim Dow with Sea Ray Boats/Marine Max, a New York Boat Show exhibitor, said, “It was an amazing show. We expanded our display and it paid huge dividends. Consumer sentiment was positive, and we capitalized on older leads that showed up as well as many fresh buyers.”
Louisville show exhibitor Jay Taul with Clements Marine said, “We had a great show! The results were better than expected with a few dozen boats sold, and leads we are confident will close.”
“River Valley Marine was significantly more successful at the 2025 Minneapolis Boat Show year over year. We sold 20 percent more units and are thankful for the quality of prospects that seemed to be more interested in owning a new boat this year than in previous years,” echoed John Wooden with River Valley Marine, a Minneapolis Boat Show exhibitor.
Activations such as the Discover Boating Beach Club in New York, Discover Boating Lake Life Lounge and Paddle Sports Pool in Louisville, and Lake Lounge and Fred’s Shed How-To Center, presented by Progressive, in Minneapolis, helped immerse and educate show-goers of all experience levels in the boat life and great outdoors.
Up next – the newest addition to the Discover Boating boat show portfolio – the Mid-Atlantic Boat Show, in partnership with Progressive Insurance, in Charlotte, N.C. takes place Feb. 6-9, followed by the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show Feb. 12-16, and the Discover Boating Atlantic City Boat Show, in partnership with Progressive Insurance, Feb. 26-Mar. 2.
