Rep. Michelle Fischbach's Staff Tours Brunswick's New York Mills Operation

NMMA recently organized a tour of Brunswick Corporation's New York Mills, Minn. facility with Sean Murphy, Representative Michelle Fischbach's Legislative Director. The visit provided an in-depth look at Brunswick's substantial manufacturing presence in Minnesota and highlighted the critical role the marine industry plays in the state's economy, along with key challenges and solutions facing the sector.
During the meeting, Brunswick’s New York Mills team showcased the company’s integrated business model and far-reaching geographic impact. Rep. Fischbach’s Legislative Director pledged to keep recreational boating industry’s concerns in mind as their office works to navigate the evolving trade landscape on Capitol Hill.
Additionally, the group touched on the importance of renewing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, a topic particularly relevant as Rep. Fischbach, who represents Minnesota's 7th Congressional District, sits on the House Ways and Means Committee. The potential renewal of this legislation has significant implications for businesses across the country, including those in the marine industry.
