Tariffs on Chinese Imports Reach 145%

This week, the Trump administration confirmed that total tariffs on Chinese imports have increased by 145%. For marine manufacturers who rely on imported parts and materials from China, these additional costs could significantly disrupt production and supply chains.

While some tariffs have been delayed for 90 days, the increase includes a 125% import tax added on top of a prior 20% tariff.

NMMA is closely tracking these developments and continuing to advocate for a targeted and nuanced approach to trade policy—one that protects U.S. marine manufacturing competitiveness at home and abroad.

We urge NMMA members to evaluate their supply chains and stay engaged as we work with policymakers to ensure the recreational boating industry’s voice is heard during this critical time.
