As a member-owned and member-driven organization, NMMA plays a pivotal role in shaping policies, expanding the market, and ensuring that marine businesses thrive. Renewing your membership means securing the industry's future while accessing a suite of invaluable benefits designed to help your business grow.

NMMA serves as the voice of the recreational boating industry in front of policymakers at the local, state, and federal level, advocating for policies that protect boater access to public waters, drive industry sustainability and innovation, keep U.S. marine manufacturing globally competitive, and improve recreation infrastructure. NMMA’s efforts have led to regulatory and legislative victories that have strengthened waterway access, reduced regulatory burdens, supported pro-growth tax and trade policies, and ensured continued investments in durable recreation infrastructure, allowing the industry to thrive and innovate in a globally competitive environment.
Through its Discover Boating initiative, powered by NMMA and the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas, the association is bringing the boating lifestyle to millions. In fiscal year 2024 alone, Discover Boating engaged over 6.5 million people, generating 1.6 million customer introductions to manufacturers and dealers. By spearheading integrated marketing campaigns and hosting engaging boat shows, NMMA is successfully attracting the next generation of boaters while strengthening relationships with existing ones.
NMMA membership unlocks access to a host of valuable resources, including market research publications, regulatory updates, and economic impact reports. In FY2024, NMMA introduced new industry data reports, expanded compliance certifications, and enhanced trade show opportunities, equipping members with the tools needed to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving global market.
